Senior Specialist Corporate Controlling - Project Focused (f/m/d)
In this role, you will drive financial transparency and identifies additional cost reduction opportunities through in-depth variance & structural analysis (per plant and cross-location) and simulations. Act as a key partner to the Corporate PMO and business stakeholders. Drive standardized approaches across-location and BUs.
Your Responsibilities
Cost Analytics & Simulation
- Perform data-driven cost driver analysis across sites and business units
- Simulate financial impacts of strategic and operational decisions
- Provide benchmark-based transparency for gaps and best practices
Identifies additional cost reduction opportunities through:
- Cost driver and inefficiency analysis
- Performance of internal (and external) benchmarking
- Variance analysis (actual vs. plan / benchmark)
- Cost structure analysis and distribution insights
- Simulations for evaluating impact of measures
- Propose concrete measures to reduce COGS and improve profitability
Deviation Management
- Maintain strict monitoring of financial gaps (plan vs. actual)
- Trigger immediate escalation for unresolved deviations
- Drive accountability for gap closure together with stakeholders
Unbiased View & Independence
- Act as independent voice in financial steering
- Provide objective view on progress and delivery impact
- Ensure transparency and decision-making integrity
Your Profile
- Finance Expertise: Deep experience in cost controlling, operational finance, and transformation controlling
- Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to structure and interpret large datasets, simulations, and benchmarks
- Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of Excel, data cubes, financial modeling tools and SAP
- Cross Functional Collaboration: Able to work across PMO, Operations and Finance to co-drive results
- Sparring Mindset: Trusted partner to PMO and workstream leads – able to challenge, support and co-develop solutions
- Communication Skills: Effective in presenting clear, business-oriented messages to all levels
- Drive & Ownership: Hands-on, impact-oriented and committed to excellence in delivery
