- Develop, characterize, and optimize IC substrate manufacturing processes within your area of expertise.
- Define process requirements, evaluate suppliers, and qualify manufacturing equipment and tooling.
- Monitor process performance using statistical process control (SPC) and drive process stability improvements.
- Investigate and resolve process-related issues to ensure high yield, quality, and throughput.
- Design and execute experiments (DoE) to improve process capability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Support new product introductions and the successful ramp-up into high-volume manufacturing.
- Create and maintain process documentation while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams, mentor junior colleagues, and support internal and external audits.

Your Responsibilities
- Develop circuit formation technologies for Glass Core Substrate by working closely with material, equipment, and process suppliers
- Lead process development and optimization of lithography, etching, plating, and related technologies for high-density circuit patterning
- Establish process windows to achieve target pattern quality, yield, and manufacturability while considering electrical and mechanical reliability requirements
- Conduct process evaluations covering pattern quality, defect reduction, adhesion performance, dimensional stability, and electrical characteristics
- Analyze failure mechanisms such as pattern defects, delamination, cracking, over/under etching, and process-induced reliability issues
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including process, material and reliability engineering to drive technology development and project execution

- Develop mechanical defect-free process for glass core substrate by working closely with materials suppliers
- Lead the reliability design, evaluation, and qualification of glass core substrate, including TGV structure and coating configuration
- Conduct reliability test plans covering thermal cycling, mechanical stress, warpage behavior, and electrical stability
- Analyze failure mechanisms such as TGV cracking, SeWaRe, and CTE-mismatch effects
- Manage cross-functional tasks and technical documentation
- Analyze experimental data and provide input and recommendations to enhance product performance and improve process efficiency

- Leading the development of build-up technologies for Glass Core Substrate applications
- Developing and optimize process technologies including glass handling, temporary support systems, dielectric lamination, via formation, metallization, lithography, etching, and plating
- Establishing process integration strategies to achieve target electrical performance, mechanical reliability, yield, and manufacturability
- Defining technology roadmaps for build-up structures, fine-line interconnects, and next-generation Glass Core Substrate architectures
- Developing handling concepts and process solutions to minimize glass damage, warpage, cracking, and process-induced defects throughout manufacturing
- Driving resolution of technical challenges related to material interactions, dimensional stability, process variation, and reliability performance
- Leading root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions for process and reliability issues
- Collaborating closely with material suppliers, equipment vendors, and cross-functional teams to accelerate technology development and qualifications
- Providing technical leadership for development programs, intellectual property generation, and technology transfer activities

- Evaluate integration approaches for components requiring high-precision alignment within substrate and manufacturing environments
- Assess compatibility of proposed approaches with existing process capabilities, materials, and infrastructure
- Contribute to the development and realization of integration approaches within prototyping and process development activities
- Identify process limitations, critical tolerances, and integration constraints affecting implementation
- Support and execute experimental work, including design of experiments (DoE), to validate approaches under realistic conditions
- Identify and understand process sensitivities and critical parameters affecting stability and yield
- Iteratively refine processes based on experimental results and learnings
- Contribute to the identification of required process adaptations, capability gaps, and infrastructure needs
- Support internal decision-making by providing feasibility assessments and technical input, participate in internal and external technical discussions related to process integration
- Contribute to definition of implementation pathways for new technologies

Your Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize Through Glass Via (TGV) formation processes including laser modification and etching
- Develop and optimize Singulation processes
- Establish inspection and metrology methods for TGV characterization and singulation quality
- Support downstream processes (seed, plating, CMP, reliability) by ensuring TGV quality meets integration requirements
- Support the technical design and development of new products by executing assigned tasks and contributing to meeting AT&S’s performance and quality standards
- Conduct research activities and perform experiments to support the development of solutions aimed at improving product performance and manufacturing processes
- Analyze experimental data and provide input and recommendations to enhance product performance and improve process efficiency
