Key responsibilities in your new role
- Expert Collaboration: Work with experts at a global semiconductor company and leading MEMS microphone supplier to develop and characterize next-generation audio technologies
- Electro-Acoustic Support: Support the team with a strong focus on electro-acoustic lab work and early-stage concept development
- Product Insights: Gain insights into the development of MEMS audio products for smartphones, hearables, IoT and automotive applications
- Performance Analysis: Measure and analyze performance parameters as well as audio quality of existing and next-generation microphones
- Novel Concepts: Work on novel sensing concepts, experiment design, fixture preparation, data processing and visualization (e.g., Python, MATLAB) and listening tests
- Innovation Contribution: Help shape the next generation of microphone solutions
Further Information Type of employment: Temporary / Part-time (flexible working hours from Monday to Friday between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.)
Duration: min. 12 months
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- Education: Motivated and committed master student (f/m/div) from the field of Electronics or Electrical Engineering with focus on Audio Engineering or similar
- Knowledge: Background in acoustics and signal processing
- Lab Skills: Hands-on experience in laboratory environments
- Curiosity: Curiosity for state-of-the-art developments of microphone solutions in the semiconductor industry
- Language Skills: Good English skills
This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry (full-time), employment group B for bachelor students, employment group D for master students (https://www.feei.at/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/minimum-salaries-white-collar-workers-2025.pdf).
