Industry 4.0 / IoT Expert (f/m/d)

In this interesting role, you will be responsible for defining and maintaining IT Applications and IT Infrastructure in alignment with IT-Strategy within the scope of Equipment Integration. You will define detailed IT Applications / IT Infrastructure / Data Management -solutions or Data guidelines and procedures as well as requirements and solutions, verify solutions in a Proof-of-concept environment and support the IT Architect designing the solution. You will also be responsible for guidance on implementations, respective rollouts, solution testing and customization.

Your Responsibilities

  • Define detailed IT Applications / IT Infrastructure / Data Management -solutions or Data guidelines and procedures as well as requirements and solutions in the field of AES.
  • Verify solutions in a Proof-of-concept environment and support the IT Architect designing the solution.
  • Build or customize solutions including testing and rollout/implementation in compliance with the change process
  • Coordinate the required concepts to ensure go-live and to hand-over solution to IT operations
  • Define required operational and process documentation

Your Profile

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software engineering, Automation, Electrical & Electronics Engineering (from a University or other higher education institutes) or minimum of 5 years professional IT experience (in this area) in an international corporate company
  • Atleast 3 years working experience as Equipment Integration Specialist or equivalent
  • Excellent knowledge and experience with communication protocols such as SECS/GEM, OPC UA/DA, MQTT
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in integrating manufacturing equipment to host systems such as MES or SCADA
  • Experience in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), as well as .NET, TypeScript, Node.JS, JavaScript, C#
  • Experience with implementing Industry 4.0 / IoT based projects
  • Experience working with databases such as Microsoft SQL
  • Excellent inter personal skills to work effectively with our internal customer Manufacturing, Engineering and Equipment teams
  • Support the Automation full test/validations for major system upgrades or releases of new AES (Automation Execution System) functions
  • Develop and implement new manufacturing equipment integrations using Industry 4.0 / IoT based Software solutions.
  • Analyse equipment behaviour and work independently on complex requirements, specifications, and implementations
  • Coordinate with internal customers and external equipment vendors
  • Document and plan equipment integration software solution projects
  • Maintain and further develop existing equipment integration software solutions based on industry standards as SECS/GEM, OPC, MQTT
  • Experience with Test-Driven development methodology
  • Knowledge of Process Management and Service Management 
  • Customize, develop, and test Automation functionalities
  • Support the development of MES and Automation System
  • Continuous improvement of existing equipment integration software solutions
  • Basic Project Management Skills would be good to have
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong customer orientation and vendor interaction
  • Intercultural awareness and strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Analytical thinking and problem resolution skills as well as organizational talent
